In her racing prime, Jen completed 8 full-distance Ironman races and too many shorter races to count, usually landing herself in the top 10 in her age-group. Lately, she has switched her focus to cycling—her true passion—and races competitively in the Masters field in road, gravel, and e-racing events. Triathlon will always have her heart, however, and she continues to integrates swimming and running into her cross-training routine.Outside of training, Jen loves to spend time with her son and her partner hiking, mountain biking, or going on backcountry kayak trips. She splits her time between Victoria and Whistler, BC, finding solace in the balance between the ocean and mountains.
Race memory: IRONMAN Copenhagen (her time of 10:46 remains her full-distance PR)
Training combo: Fall gravel riding ending in coffee
Technology frustration: Garmin’s “unproductive” status
Most hated bike discipline: Cyclocross
