From 264lbs to 70.3 World Championships | Tim Ford, Triathlete and CEO of MaccaX Tri Team

by
Taren Gesell

Back in 2010, Tim Ford was 264lbs with high blood pressure and high cholesterol at the young age of 24. A friend convinced him to enter a triathlon and it took him over four hours to complete the 1.5km swim, 40km bike and 10km run.  Fast forward to today, he has lost more than 100lbs and raced in the 2016 Half Ironman World Championships.
He recently completed his law degree and now works not only as a triathlon coach but also is CEO of MaccaX Triathlon Team.

On today's episode of the Triathlon Taren podcast, we talk to Tim about how he became so unhealthy in the first place, what the weight loss journey was like, and what his mindset and body are like today -- especially as he battles an injury he's been unable to fix.
