Winner of 2018 Ironman 70.3 CDA, Pro Triathlete Matt Hanson

by
Taren Gesell

Pro triathlete Matt Hanson was the men's winner of 2018 Ironman 70.3 Coeur D'Alene. Hanson has been in the professional ranks since 2014 when he won Ironman Chattanooga in his first year as a pro. He also set three run course records that year.  In 2015, a win at Ironman Texas (where he also set the course record) saw him named North American champ. He's raced successfully around the world ever since.

On today's podcast, Hanson chats with us just a couple of hours after his Ironman 70.3 CDA victory.  He tells us about his strategy in the race, his ongoing rivalry with fellow pro Andrew Starykowicz, and his thoughts on Kona!
